MBMS Welcomes New Principal and Vice Principal!

New MBMS Principal Announcement:

Dear MBUSD Community,

I hope you are doing well and are enjoying your summer break so far. We are looking forward to the upcoming school year and are excited to see our students and staff back on campus.

I am pleased to announce that Mira Costa High School Vice Principal Jennifer Huynh has been appointed by our Board of Trustees as our new Manhattan Beach Middle School Principal, effective August 3, 2022.

Ms. Huynh began her career in education in 2008 as a Language Arts, Vietnamese, AVID, and Student Leadership teacher in the Albuquerque Public Schools District. She has also served in many other leadership roles, such as a Community College Adjunct Faculty member, Operations Manager, and Assistant Principal at Santa Ana Unified School District.

In 2021, she joined Manhattan Beach Unified School District as a Vice Principal at Mira Costa High School. She did an outstanding job leading athletics, activities, and safety programs.

Ms. Huynh is excited to be part of the MBMS family and continue her career at MBUSD. I know that she will continue the good work already accomplished at MBMS and we look forward to the contributions Ms. Huynh will make to the District in this new position.

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Jennifer Huynh to the MBMS Waves family!

Sincerely,

John Bowes, Ed.D. | Superintendent
