NATIONAL STUDENT ART CONTEST

NATIONAL STUDENT ART CONTEST - SUBMIT BEFORE 10/15
Deadline to submit student artwork for the National PTSA Art Competition, Reflections, is October 15, 2024. This year’s theme is "Accepting Imperfection." Students may submit entries in Dance/Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. There is also a Special Artist category showcasing artists with special needs. We look forward to seeing amazing work from our very talented MBMS Students.
math club

Math Club Starts 9/24 After School!

MATH CLUB!! The MBMS PTA is sponsoring the MBMS Math Club. This after-school enrichment activity is parent-led by volunteers and supported by a national curriculum from Math Counts. Students from our club can also compete in competitions from the Math Olympiad, Math Counts, Math Kangaroo, the district-administered Math Field Day, and the American Mathematics Competition (AMC-8). Our club welcomes all students who like math. Snacks and a respectful, fun atmosphere with lots of individual support make this after-school a fun option.

Parent Party Books!

MBMS Party Books are a fun way for parents to meet and connect within our Waves community. All funds raised from Party books benefit PTA. We’ve been creating a roster of great events for our MBMS Waves Parents.

Some of our fun Party Books include Annual Tennis Tournament, Paint and Pour, Pickleball, Carnivale Brazilian Feast, Wine Tasting, Cocktail Crafting Game and more.

If you have an idea for a party experience, whether it's a poker night, taco and tequila tasting, cooking class, guided art tour, or any other creative theme, we'd love to add it to our lineup.

Young Entrepreneurs Academy

Are you interested in business? Do you see yourself being a CEO someday? Then the Young Entrepreneurs Academy is for you! The academy is a 9 month long evening class, sponsored by the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce, where students grades 6-12 learn how to create a business from developing an idea to writing a business plan to pitching that plan in front of investors! Become a CEO before you graduate from high school! Visit the office or Mrs. Vaccaro in room 110 for more information.
