As a reminder, the SOS Signs of Suicide Prevention program will be implemented at MBMS on Tuesday, December 13 during an extended Period 2. Students will watch SOS video clips for middle school students. The videos encourage students to ACT if they see or hear about someone engaging in self-harm within their peer group. ACT stands for Acknowledge it, show that you Care, and Tell a trusted adult. After watching the video students will complete a Brief Screen for Adolescent Depression and Student Response Slip. Support staff will be available during the day to provide support to any student requesting to talk with someone.

Please see this letter for full details about this important program. Remember that you may opt-out of this program for your child by completing this Google form. The opt-out form is due on Friday, December 2.
