School-Wide Programs

WEB has kicked off its initial year at MBMS! WEB stands for “Where Everybody Belongs” and is a nationally recognized mentoring/anti-bullying program established by the Boomerang Project to provide a successful transition/first year to all new/incoming students.  It’s built on the belief that students can help students succeed.

There are currently two 8th grade classes of WEB leaders that help support our 6th graders and new students. These amazing 8th grade leaders helped lead over 500+ new students at orientation this year, working in small groups and touring the campus.

The Second Step program is used nationwide to help strengthen the social-emotional skills of young children. Together they provide an excellent means to assess, build, and strengthen children's social skills, protective factors, and resilience. This year’s 6th graders will be receiving Second Step lessons throughout the year in their Humanities and Science classes.
