School-Wide Programs

The Second Step program is used nationwide to help strengthen the social-emotional skills of young children. Together they provide an excellent means to assess, build, and strengthen children's social skills, protective factors, and resilience. This year’s 6th graders will be receiving Second Step lessons throughout the year in their Humanities and Science classes.

Below are some of presentations shared with the 6th grade in the 2016-17 school year
• Second Step Lesson 1 and 2 - Empathy and Communication
• Second Step Lesson 3 -5 - Considering Perspectives, Disagreeing Respectfully, Being Assertive
