Social Emotional Wellness survey

The results of the MBMS student wellness survey are in!  We learned about the things that stress our kids, who they rely on most when they are stressed, and much more.  One of the most important findings from the survey was that many of our kids aren't getting enough sleep.  Teenagers have different sleep patterns – have you noticed that your teen is staying up later and sleeping in longer?  There are physiological reasons for this shift.  The following TED talk by Wendy Troxel is relevant to our Social Emotional Wellness efforts as it is about sleep research and sleep deprivation in teens.  Wendy is a RAND researcher, has clinical practice in Utah, and is an adjunct professor with University of Pittsburgh.   Her insight is important in our efforts to keep our kids healthy.
